The Taipans stage all home games at the Cairns Convention Centre, where the Orange Army gathers to support the side led by head coach Adam Forde. The arrangement allows the team to maintain a fixed location for training and match preparation during the NBL26 season.

Cairns maintains more than 400 sport and recreational clubs that run competitive leagues across at least 30 sports. The Taipans sit within this structure as the city’s sole not-for-profit National Basketball League club.
